Satan is fighting in every direction against unreached people groups to hinder them from coming to the light; he would want them to remain in perpetual darkness. As Christians, (militant soldiers) of Christ, we are to rescue the unreached people groups from the stronghold of Satan and bring them to the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Unreached people groups are tribes or cultures that have not heard the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ generally because they operate other religions such as Paganism, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism etc. The unreached people can be reached with the gospel of our Lord despite all oppositions because the weapons of our warfare are mighty and effective to dislodge Satan’s tricks and devices against the people.
We are called to check Satan’s activities; all people groups should be free to partake in the joy of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The subject is divided into three parts:
- The survey Approach
- Prayer warfare for the unreached people groups
- Churches’ commitment to reach unreached people groups.
- THE SURVEY APPROACH

Survey approach is a viable option in the search for hindrances against the unreached people groups. It is a supernatural mine detector. Before Israel launched attack on the occupants of the land given to them by God they first sent out spies to survey the land. Survey would eventually reveal the kind of people they were facing, their type of weapons army, and their weaknesses. The information obtained would be used in planning the strategy for successful action. We need to belong to and how strong or deep they are in satanic worship. After discovering their strongholds, we can plan and move into the territory with spiritual warfare for the deliverance of the people.
Some of the goals of such a survey will be to locate the unreached people group know the size of the population, their religion, past history, their manner of life, cultures, Christian work already done, their needs and problems, language they speak etc. Natives can be used to make the survey if possible.
- PRAYER WARFARE FOR THE UNREACHED PEOPLE GROUP

We can deliver the unreached people groups through prayer warfare (Matt. 12:29-30). People’s minds are the battle ground of Satan and demons. We war against invisible forces holding the hearts and minds of men and women, and compelling them to disobey God in all aspects. Satan, the enemy of God, and men always exalts himself in the hearts of people who do not know the Lord but we have power to flush the enemy out through prayer. Prayer warfare serves important role in spiritual warfare. Ezra the scribe used prayer warfare to deliver the children of Israel from the hands of the king of Persia. We can deliver the unreached hidden people groups from the hand of their task masters through prayer warfare.
In order to succeed in prayer warfare we must be equipped to resist the devil by having clean hands and pure hearts so that we can draw near to God (Ps. 24:3, 4; Js. 4:7-8). Any one venturing into prayer warfare without living a holy life will soon find himself in the camps of the sons of Sceva (Acts 19:13-17). The righteous is as bold as a lion (Prov. 28:1). In prayer warfare there is no begging the devil but commanding (Mark. 11:3) pulling down (2 Cor. 10:4-6) binding and losing (Matt. 18:18).
- CHURCHES COMMITMENT TO REACH UNREACHED HIDDEN PEOPLE GROUPS

Apostles, having received the commission, went everywhere preaching the gospel to unreached people in Jerusalem and Judea.
The methods the Apostles used to reach the unreached people include House-to-house evangelism and Market Evangelism. This method will help us in our various localities. We must not forget that we are debtors to the unreached people. The only way our debts can be offset is by bringing them to the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
More than ever before, the Church needs to stand her ground and put on the whole armour of God to be able fight against the hordes of hell coming against it.
And one major element of the Armour is to spread the Gospel. A Church that is involved in mission will have little or no time fighting another Church.
